Wedding gown in silk organza with pleated front closure, pleated waistband, 18th-century sleeves, fan back skirt, and green silk charmeuse sash.
The gown foundation is a corseted bodice and skirt made of tan silk dupioni. Two layers of silk organza were draped over foundation dress. The bodice was handsewn after draping, and has a front opening hidden at pleated plastron.
The skirt was drafted with an extant pattern from the early 20th century for a flat-front, fan back shape. Skirt is comprised of the tan silk base, two layers of white tulle, and three layers of silk organza. The silk base, tulle, and two layers of organza were sewn to the foundation layer, while the top layer of silk organza is sewn to the bodice with a side-front closure.
The Waxed Paper Orange Blossom crown was handmade with the Castle in the Air Paper Flower Crown kit. Boutonniere was created by same method, then wrapped in green silk ribbon.
Wedding ceremony was held in Washington State, and reception was held in Southern California.
